so this is Christmas.
Its different this year.. obviously.. we're trying to make it different by doing different things and starting new tradions, as well as keeping the old ones.
I'm coping best by concentrating on the good memories, the happier times.. We had a nice Christmas Eve, we opened our presents.. and everyone was happy with their gifts.. speaking of happy.. I got a bottle of Happy. I love that stuff.. its awesome.. nightgowns, pajamas, bubble baths, new sneakers, Barnes and Noble gift certificate thats burning a hole in my purse (but I can shop online if I get desperate!) I got one of those bath spa things, a kit to make bath salts, some clothes, kitty stuff :) and more.. but I'm getting too tired to think.
work was a madhouse today (but not as bad as I was expecting it to be) but it was good, cause the time went by fast, as always. Its about time I found a job I liked!
Merry Christmas everyone.
If there were no words...
This weblog has gone through many changes since I started it in May 2003. It was originally created to keep family and friends informed of my grandmother's (who we called Mema) progress when she was diagnosed with a recurrance of Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Sadly, she unexpectedly passed away on May 22, 2003 and I miss her more than words can express. This weblog then became a grief journal. Now its a little of all of the above. contact: catladyfromnpt@hotmail.com

mema has been gone 7 months today.. I want to write something... anything.. but I just can't find the words. Christmas is in 3 days. the first one without her.
we'll get through it, we got through Thanksgiving.. but this is Christmas.. a million times harder.

the snow finally stopped this morning around 10:30, its just flurrying on and off now.. the street looks like a sheet of ice and I'm glad I don't have to work til noon tomorrow. I went out this morning for a bit, to bring Jamie's sister some more clothes to bring Jamie when she went to work, then to the store to pick up a few things. Cabin Fever was setting in, I needed to get out!
